Frequently Asked Questions
  • Where do I find information about college policies and services?
2 publications are designed for students:  the small Student Services Booklet has quick reference information in a colorful, tabbed format you can find in racks across campus, and the larger Student Handbook has all the detailed information.  See the Student Handbook tab to access the PDF.
  • How do I get housing?
You must apply to Willowbrook Woods.  That application is separate from the College’s admission application; the packet is a PDF on the Student Housing page.  Read the packet, print the application pages, complete them yourself, and submit to this office before the deadline.

  • Is smoking or alcohol allowed on campus?
Allegany College of Maryland is completely clean, clear, and dry.  That means that smoking/tobacco/vaping, alcohol, and drugs are strictly prohibited.
  • Can my parent or spouse get information about me from my instructors or staff?
Generally, No.  Your information is protected by federal law and college policy known as FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act).  That means your information is not shared with any third party without your written consent unless there is a legal exception.
