- What do I love most about Allegany College of Maryland?
I love that I get the opportunity to truly know our students. Being a piece of the
larger puzzle to making their dream a reality is very rewarding to me. We are not
just faculty, staff and students. We are family.
- What is my most memorable moment at ACM?
Sitting through my first graduation ceremony would have to be my most memorable moment.
Watching a student walk across the stage and receive their diploma is an emotional
experience I will never forget. They have successfully completed another chapter
in the book of life and are now ready to start their next adventure.

- What is your favorite thing about Allegany College of Maryland?
I did not grow up in Maryland and was nervous to move here. By working for ACM, I
quickly found a family and a home away from home. Our campuses are filled with some
of the kindest, most genuine and helpful individuals I’ve ever had the chance to meet.
I can’t speak highly enough about those who make up our ACM community.
- What is the greatest opportunity students have by attending ACM?
There are so many! I’d have to say the opportunity for students to live on campus
stands out the most. For a lot of our students, it’s their first time away from home
and living on their own. It’s amazing to see the students come together to support
each other and build their own community. We’re proud to be a stepping stone and guiding
hand for these students as they run towards the world of “adulting”.

- What advice would you give to a prospective ACM student?
Ask Questions! Asking questions is one of the most important parts of the college
search process. As a small campus, ACM’s family-like community is the perfect place
to feel comfortable asking those tough, but important questions.
- What surprised you the most when you joined the ACM community?
I was most surprised by the number of options that ACM provides to launch a student’s
educational journey. The number of programs, the on-campus resources, the community
support, the hands-on experience, and the transfer options make the possibilities
at ACM limitless!
