Welcome to the Allegany College of Maryland Accident Reporting System. Here you will find all forms necessary to complete the reporting process if you have been involved in an accident or personal injury (to include falls, needle stick, etc.). This would also include accidents or personal injury while off campus during sanctioned college business. This process is the same for students, staff, faculty, or visitors. Below you will find all necessary forms that are submitted when being involved in an accident.
Next Steps
1. When you are involved in an accident call The Department of Campus Safety and Special Police at 301-784-5555 or 5555 if using a campus phone to report the accident or to request assistance.
2. Following the accident you will either receive a copy of all necessary forms from a campus Security Guard or campus Special Police Officer if assistance was requested, or you may obtain the forms on the Security page located on the ACM homepage. When the forms are completed, please send to Campus Safety and Special Police. If you need assistance completing the forms a representative of our department will help you.

The Department Statement must be completed by a representative of the Department of
Campus Safety and Special Police.
Take a look at the following videos for step by step guides and helpful tips to keep you SAFE!
The department's primary responsibility is the execution of crime prevention actions to keep our campus community safe. Working closely with college administration, student services, housing, and physical plant staff, as well as local fire and police departments, to keep our college a place where learning is not impeded by security and crime issues.
We also believe that security is an individual responsibility. We educate our campus community, including students and employees, about personal and public safety. In addition to providing crime prevention tips to the campus community, we promote personal safety wherever and whenever possible.
We know that much has changed in our society since our college opened in the 1960's. With the increase of crime on college campuses across our nation, we've adjusted our security prevention measures accordingly, while continuing to keep your personal rights and liberties in mind. One measure of safety that has been adopted is our e-SAFE text messaging and email notification system. We encourage all students, employees, parents, and community members to register for e-SAFE. By signing up for e-SAFE, you'll be notified when there is a major emergency, crisis situation or disaster, or weather emergency closing or delay for the Allegany College of Maryland campuses.
For your information, our department and the Office of Student and Legal Affairs ensure full disclosure of campus security information in compliance with the legal requirements of the Jeanne Clery Campus Safety Act. Our annual crime statistics report is available in the Office of Student and Legal Affairs and our public crime log is available in our security office. Please feel free to view these reports during normal business hours, Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Our experienced, knowledgeable staff are excited to share their expertise with you.
