•  What will be your major?
  Nursing at Conemaugh School of Nursing
  
  
• Why did you choose that major?
  I chose this major because my family has a long legacy of helping others.  I wanted to be able to help people and contribute to my community. 
  
  
• What made you decide to take ACM Early College classes?
  My mom is my HS counselor, so she was very helpful with the process of deciding classes, although it is not difficult for others to do.  I knew that the Nursing class would be challenging, so I took all of the general electives from the curriculum list to lighten my load. 
  
  
• How has your experience been as an ACM Early College student? 
  It has been a pleasure to work with ACM.  Tiffany Boone was a great help, and all of my professors were great! 
  
  
• Why would you recommend ACM Early College classes / Allegany College of Maryland to other students? 
  I definitely would recommend ACM to others.  I took most of my classes online, so they were self -paced.  That made it easier for me to complete them on my own schedule instead of sitting in a traditional class.
  
  
• Do you plan to continue with ACM after graduating high school or will you be transferring your credits to another college/university?  
  While in HS, I was able to earn an AA degree from both ACM and Pennsylvania Highlands Community College.  I also earned my national Emergency Medical Technician certificate and took a phlebotomy course, and I am currently working through the requirements to be nationally certified. 

• What motivates you, and why?
  I have always been a very driven person.  Once I discovered the medical field, it became a passion.  My family always encouraged me to take baby steps towards a big goal; taking college classes and learning new skills is the way to building a great nursing foundation.

• What Early College classes have you taken so far and what will you have completed when you graduate high school? 
  I have an AA in General Studies.
  
  

• What advice would you give high school students thinking about Early College classes?    

  Do it!  Taking classes online and over the summer may seem like extra work, but it really does make it easier once you begin college.  The courses met my needs for both my present and my future.

   

• What are your career goals for after college?    
  I want to get my Bachelor's in Nursing and then work towards becoming a Nurse Anesthetist.  It should take me about 8 years, but I am ready for the challenge.
