Why did you choose your major?
I currently work in the field as a case manager and I want growth for furthering my
career.
What made you choose Allegany College of Maryland? It’s local and I didn’t want a big university since I had never gone to College. I
like the smaller class sizes.
How has your experience been at ACM? Great!
Why would you recommend Allegany College of Maryland to future students? Smaller class size and it’s personal. The faculty want you to succeed; they want to
help you and will find the time to help you. Departments are very welcoming.
Are you working while attending College? Yes – full time.
What motivates you? Why? I have 3 kids.
What are some challenges you have encountered as a college student? COVID is the biggest challenge; doing everything at home, plus childcare, and online
learning.
What advice would you give future college students? Do your research! What scholarships are available? What is needed for your program?
This prepares you for what is coming down the line so you are not so overwhelmed
with what you need to take. Research and know what you’re walking into.
