Why did you choose this major? I’ve always wanted to work in physical therapy.
What made you choose Allegany College of Maryland? I liked that they had a 1+1 physical therapist assistant program. I have my bachelors
degree, so I actually had all of the classes for the first year of the program and
got to finish my PTA degree in one year.
How has your experience been at ACM? It has been great. I’ve only taken classes in the PTA program, but I love the campus
layout. You can tell the teachers really care about their students and the class sizes
are small so you can get more individualized help if you need it.
Why would you recommend Allegany College of Maryland to future students? The campus is really easy to navigate and there are a lot of resources for the students
to use while there.
Now that you’ve been through the college process, what advice would you give yourself
if you could go back and do this again? Study more on campus. The library is pretty nice and there are lots of places to study
while on campus.
Additional comments: I actually attended James Madison University and got my bachelors in Health Sciences
before coming to ACM to get my degree to become a PTA, so I only had to take a few
classes at ACM. I still felt very welcome, even though I didn't take my prerequisites
here.
