Q & A
  • Why did you choose your major?
I love art and teaching and want to combine the two.
  • What made you choose ACM?
My daughter went to ACM and then told me I had to go back to school.
  • How was your overall experience at ACM?
ACM was what I needed at a difficult time. I regained confidence and purpose in my life.
  • Why would you recommend ACM to future students?
I would recommend ACM because it offers many scholarships, has a low student-to-teacher ratio, and the faculty want the students to succeed.
  • Did you work while attending college?
I worked part-time while at ACM and also carried 16 credit hours, and worked three part-time jobs while at Frostburg. I also took summer classes at ACM to speed up my graduation date.

  • What advice would you give to future college students?
My advice is to do your absolute best at every opportunity and you will have no regrets.
  • What did you do after graduating from ACM?
I went straight to Frostburg State, where I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine art and design with a minor in Art History. My plans are to get certified to teach in Maryland or Pennsylvania. Then use my summer to write and illustrate children's books.
  • What is your greatest achievement in your career?
So far my greatest achievement is writing, illustrating, and publishing my first children's book Violet the Mouse. You can find it on Amazon.
