CUMBERLAND, Md. — Nov. 18, 2025— Allegany College of Maryland encourages students
who plan to attend ACM next year to apply now for ACM Scholarships. The College’s
2026-27 scholarship application is available
online.
ACM proudly awards $1.5 million in scholarships annually, and thousands of scholarships
are awarded each year.
Applying for scholarships is simple.
Students who complete
ACM’s online scholarship application are automatically matched with general scholarships. Applicants can access an Opportunities
tab within the application to apply for additional scholarship awards.
Allegany County Opportunity Tuition Subsidy Scholarship
ACM is honored to offer the Allegany County Opportunity Tuition Subsidy Scholarship
for Credit Students. The generous award covers up to 50% of the in-county tuition
rate per credit hour. To apply, students must meet all eligibility requirements and
complete the ACM Scholarship application and the Free Application for Federal Student
Aid (FAFSA). The
2026-27 FAFSA is available starting December 1. The priority deadline for the Tuition Subsidy Scholarship
is February 28th.
Allegany County Opportunity Merit Scholarship.
Allegany County Opportunity Merit Scholarships $1,000 is awarded each academic year to eligible County residents. Students must
have a GPA of at least 3.0 and meet all other eligibility criteria. Special consideration
is given to students who intend to transfer to Frostburg State University after graduating
from Allegany College of Maryland. The priority deadline for the Merit Scholarships
is March 31st.
