CUMBERLAND, Md.—May 9, 2024— A larger crowd may be present at Allegany College of Maryland’s (ACM) two commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 18. This spring 353 students are expected to earn 427 degrees and certificates. The two commencement ceremonies take place in the Physical Education Building’s gymnasium. The ceremony for career and transfer program (non-Allied Health) students is at 11 a.m., and the ceremony for Allied Health students is at 2 p.m. After each ceremony, graduates and their guests are invited to the College Center for light refreshments and photographs.
Four speakers selected
Four high-achieving students were chosen to deliver the student commencement remarks:
Kyaw “Luke” Htay, Linkyn Harmon, Jordan Landis and Penelope White. Harmon and White
will speak at the morning commencement ceremony with Htay and Landis speaking at the
afternoon ceremony.

Parking is available near the Physical Education and Humanities Buildings. Overflow
parking is available near the Continuing Education Building. ACM’s campus map is available
