What is Restaurant Management?
The foodservice industry is the largest segment under the hospitality “umbrella” and
includes everything from small cafes to large institutional food production facilities.
This certificate will help you develop or enhance your foodservice supervision skills.
What will you learn?
- You will get hands-on practice in menu writing, purchasing, cost control, and dining
room management as you gain work experience in our student-operated restaurant.
- All of your courses will transfer to the A.A.S degree in Hospitality Management.
What is the job outlook?
- Employment of foodservice or restaurant managers is projected to grow 9%.
- Those with certificates or degrees will have the best job opportunities. The median
annual wage, depending on location is $40,000.
