Bryce Bridges Earns Tristate Math Contest’s First Perfect Score
CUMBERLAND, Md. – April 30, 2025 – Allegany College of Maryland and the LaVale Lions Club hosted the annual Tristate Math Contest on March 18, with eight high school teams competing from Maryland and Pennsylvania. Awards were presented to the region's top 10 students and top three school teams.
The LaVale Lions Club provided ACM scholarships to area juniors who demonstrated mathematical
excellence during the competition.
Eight high school teams competed in the competition. The top three school teams were
Allegany High School Team 1 (163 points), Bedford High School (97 points), and Allegany
High School Team 2 (73 points).

Other participating schools were Calvary Christian Academy, the Center for Career
and Technical Education, Fort Hill High School, HOPE for Hyndman Charter School, and
Mountain Ridge High School.
Top Individual Awards
Bryce Bridges (Allegany) earned the first perfect score in the Tristate Math Contest’s

Trimeloni (Bedford) followed by Nicholas Wilt (Allegany), Nathaniel Fousek (CCTE),
and a tie among Sutton Smith (Allegany), Rishabh Patel (Allegany), and Micah Georgeson
(Mountain Ridge).
