Transfer Students: A video about successful transfer students who've attended ACM
CUMBERLAND, Md.—Oct. 1, 2024—Allegany College of Maryland will host a Fall Transfer Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 15 in the College Center Lounge. Representatives from 27 four-year colleges and universities will share information about majors and minors, the transfer credit process, application deadlines, scholarship opportunities, and student life.
Many four-year colleges and universities offer special transfer scholarships for students who’ve graduated from a two-year college. Scholarships range from $1,000 to the full cost of attendance, depending on the school and the student. Additionally, students with proven financial need may qualify for the Maryland Higher Education Commission’s 2+2 Transfer Scholarship program, a program that encourages community college graduates to earn their bachelor’s degrees at a four-year institution in Maryland.
Allegany College of Maryland offers 23 academic programs specifically designed for transfer to four-year institutions. Last fall, ACM transfer students enrolled at 122 colleges and universities in 27 states.
