ACM Hosts Daily Campus Tours and Advising Sessions
CUMBERLAND, Md.—July 31, 2024—It’s not too late to enroll for the fall semester at Allegany College of Maryland. Admission to apply is free and available online. Registration for the fall term is still open, and the semester begins on Monday, August 19, which marks the start of ACM’s 63rd academic year. Courses are offered in multiple formats — in person, online, flex and hybrid.
Take a no-pressure tour
Future students and their families can tour ACM’s offerings online at www.allegany.edu/future-students-or-parents-families. The college recently introduced separate webpages for future students and their
parents or family members and a parent/families-specific newsletter.
Daily in-person campus tours are also available Monday through Friday. Contact the
Thomas Welcome Center at 301-784-5005 to book a college tour. The college’s student-serving offices are open and return
to the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, beginning Monday, August
5.
Know your options
Regular term courses begin on Monday, August 19, with seats open for both general
and specialized (major-specific) courses.
Need more time to plan? Enroll in a delayed start/compressed course in generalized
areas of study. Classes start on Tuesday, September 10.
Future students can learn more about their options for study by meeting with an advisor.
Advising sessions are offered from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Advising Center in College
Center. Students can request day and evening sessions by visiting www.allegany.edu/advising-center.
Connect with ACM
New students are encouraged to attend an in-person or virtual new student orientation
session to connect with all of ACM’s services and be prepared for the first day of
classes. Registration is required and available online. Sessions are offered at ACM’s campuses in Cumberland, Maryland, and Everett, Pennsylvania.
