Opening Celebration for 2024 Expressions Literary Magazine Planned for April 18 at ACM

 

 
CUMBERLAND, Md—Apr. 8, 2024— Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) will host an opening celebration for the 2024 Expressions Literary Magazine Exhibit from 4:30-6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, in its College Center’s Hazen Gallery. The exhibit event offers student-contributors the chance to read and discuss their works or summarize their art pieces.  

Options are available for those unable to attend the opening celebration.  

• The 2024 Expressions Exhibit will remain open to the public through April 26, on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  
• Printed copies of Expressions will be available at local bookstores and the Thomas Welcome Center at ACM by early June.  
• An electronic copy will be shared online at www.allegany.edu/expressions and promoted through the college’s social media channels. 

The 2024 Expressions edition will be judged as part of the Community College Humanities Association (CCHA)’s national literary magazine competition, competing in the eastern division. ACM’s Expressions won the National Award in 2022. In 2023, four contributors to Expressions won individual awards in the eastern division and Expressions also placed second in that division.
