Allegany College of Maryland gave its students a reason to stay indoors this winter: A newly expanded and outfitted fitness center.

The center, located in the college’s Physical Education Building, offers over $93,000 in high-end strength training and cardio equipment for college and community use and recreational purposes at the institution. The project was funded in part through a Program Open Space grant, one of several recent Program Open Space grants to improve community spaces for recreation at the college.
