Fall '23 Semester Begins

 

 

ACM Fall 2023 Semester to begin on August 21st

CUMBERLAND, Md. (Aug. 1, 2023) – Allegany College of Maryland will welcome its fall 2023 students to campus on Monday, Aug. 21, with the start of its sixty-second academic year. Registration for the fall semester remains open, and applying for admission is available online and is free. In-county tuition and general fees have not increased from the previous academic year.

ACM will host a virtual information session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 8. Interested individuals must register at allegany.edu/virtual-info-session. In-person campus tours are also available, Monday through Friday, for prospective students and their families. Advance bookings are required and may be scheduled by contacting the Thomas Welcome Center at 301-784-5005.

The college’s student-serving offices and Campus Store are currently open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Fall books are available for online purchase or rental at https://allegany.ecampus.com/.

• Textbooks will be shipped to the Cumberland or Bedford County campuses for free.
• Extended hours for the Campus Store will be held on Saturday, Aug. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (student housing move-in day) and Wednesday, Aug. 23, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• There is a fee for the home delivery of textbooks.

Walk-in advising sessions are available at the ACM Advising Center, located in the College Center. Students may request virtual advising sessions by calling 301-784-5198. Evening virtual advising sessions are available by appointment only.

New students are encouraged to attend an in-person or virtual New Student Orientation session. The times, dates, and registration are available by visiting allegany.edu/student-orientation.
