SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND STUDENTS 

CUMBERLAND, Md. (Mar. 9, 2021) – The Allegany College of Maryland Foundation announces that the following students received scholarships to attend Allegany College of Maryland during the 2020-2021 academic year: Clarece Smith, Bedford, The Hiester Scholarship, Rolyan Scholarship; Christian Speir, Frostburg, George and Sue Foster Memorial Scholarship; Timothy Sterne, LaVale, Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Janet Kay (Mathews) Shrout Memorial Scholarship; Bryia Swick, Meyersdale, Dennis and Gretta Afton Scholarship; Jennifer Thomas, Cumberland, Catherine and Margaret C. Lindenfelser Memorial Scholarship; Keri Twigg, Cumberland, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 172 Scholarship; Joshua Warren, Baltimore, Gateway Center Scholarship; Logan Whetzel, Cumberland, James Alfred Avirett Memorial Excellence in English Scholarship; Seth Whitacre, Cumberland, Western Maryland Building and Construction Trade Council; Lauren Woolard, Cumberland Harold Appel Foundation Scholarship; and Aisa Wrights, Cumberland, Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 172 Scholarship. 

The Allegany College of Maryland Foundation helps students achieve their educational goals by offering more than 2,500 scholarships annually. All students are encouraged to apply using a simple online scholarship application. Scholarships are awarded based on criteria determined by the scholarship benefactor.
