ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND NURSING PROGRAM RANKED #1 IN NATION

CUMBERLAND, Md. (Dec. 7, 2020) – Allegany College of Maryland has the top ranked accredited online LPN to RN program in the nation for 2021 according to RegisteredNursing.org. ACM was also awarded this special ranking in 2019. The company did not provide a 2020 ranking of online LPN to RN programs.

ACM was selected based on a myriad of factors, including student performance on the NCLEX-RN exam, tuition cost, average program list, geographic coverage area, further educational pathways and partnerships and number of cohorts annually.

The program was lauded for being “designed to work around the employed LPN, with lectures and coursework delivered in a fully online format with supervised clinical rotations arranged in the student’s local area.”

Registered Nursing also recognized the value of ACM’s required nursing courses which include, among others: Maternal/Child Nursing, Advanced Medical-Surgical Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing. These courses are designed to prepare students for higher level nursing care.

ACM’s 12-24 month LPN to RN program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing, the Maryland Board of Nursing and the Pennsylvania Board of Nursing. The college’s online program is authorized for Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia residents. Program graduates receive their Associate Degree in Nursing.

“Having our program recognized is an honor, but we’re most proud of our program students and graduates. The majority of our students are pursuing their academic goals while working full-time as LPNs. We’re honored to offer them a convenient online learning environment, one that fully prepares them for the rigorous demands of being an RN,” said ACM Assistant Director of Online Nursing Education Aimee Younkin.
