Correspondence/CLEP & Other Testing Services

All testing requires that students bring photo identification to the Testing Lab in order to take a test. (Student ID Card, driver's license and or passports are valid forms of ID)

 


Correspondence

The Learning Commons Testing Services offer proctoring services for students taking correspondence/distance learning courses. Students are responsible for coordinating test delivery.

Proctoring Fee: A $25 administrative fee must be paid prior to testing at our Business Office. The service is provided free to students who are currently enrolled at ACM.

Please contact the appropriate campus with any questions and to insure your test information has been received.

 


CLEP Testing

The Learning Commons Testing Services offer proctoring services for students taking a CLEP(College Level Examination Program) exam. Information related to available tests, preparation and registration for taking an exam can be found on the CLEP website.

College Credit for learning acquired outside the traditional classroom setting may be obtained by taking the CLEP exams. Before taking these exams for credit, students planning to transfer to other schools should contact those schools to determine whether or not the exams will provide acceptable credit.

The minimum score for ACM credit is 50, except the following: French Language, Level 2(score 59); German Language, Level 2(score 63); and Spanish Language, Level 2(score 66.)

Cost
$85 for each test
$25 administrative fee paid prior to testing at our Business Office for individuals who are not current ACM students.

PRAXIS

ACM is a certified PRAXIS testing site. Students who wish to enter four-year college or university teacher education programs or to earn certification in an educational field can take their PRAXIS exams at ACM. To register for a testing session, go to http://www.ets.org/praxis and select Allegany College of Maryland as the test site. All testing arrangements are made through Educational Testing Services (ETS).
