In compliance with federal 504/ADA requirements, Allegany College of Maryland supports
the belief that all "otherwise qualified" citizens should have access to higher education
and that individuals should not be excluded from this pursuit solely by reason of
handicap.
Mission Statement
The mission of Academic Disability Resources is to afford individuals with documented
disabilities equal access to educational offerings by providing academic support,
accommodations, advising, programming, and resource referrals to students and the
college community with the goal of enhancing personal and academic development in
a supportive environment that promotes awareness, sensitivity, and understanding of
students with disabilities.
