2021 Grad Walk

Allegany College of Maryland will host a Grad Walk from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 16 and 17 to celebrate its fall 2021 graduates. The Grad Walk will take place in the college’s Physical Education Building.

What’s a Grad Walk?
A Grad Walk is an in-person event that’s not a traditional commencement ceremony. It offers graduates the chance to be congratulated by college leadership while hearing their name and degree announced, take official graduation photos as well as selfies with their guests, and receive a special graduation gift from ACM. Each graduate may have up to 6 guests attend.

Reservations must be made in advance. Students must reserve their special Grad Walk experience timeslot by calling 301-784-5005 or emailing the Thomas Welcome Center by Dec. 14. Students approved for graduation will receive an email outlining additional details. They may also refer to the Grad Walk & Virtual Commencement Q&A and the college's press release

2021 Virtual Commencement Ceremony

ACM will also host a virtual commencement ceremony at 7:00 p.m. on Dec. 17. The ceremony will be streamed on ACM’s Facebook page and later posted to ACM's YouTube channel. Fall graduates are invited to participate in the next in-person commencement ceremony.

Students approved for graduation will receive a communication with information on how to participate. They may also refer to the Grad Walk & Virtual Commencement Q&A and the college's press release. Questions may be emailed to Joanna DuVall or by calling 301-784-5288.
