zSpace Lab at ACM Breaks Free of Screens for Better Student Engagement

ACM students of yesteryear

ACM students in zSpace Lab

It’s hard to imagine what Allegany College of Maryland’s health class students shown in this archived photo would’ve thought about virtual reality and augmented reality.

Today’s ACM students are engaging in learning experiences free of screens of any kind. Using special zSpace glasses and virtual reality/augmented reality laptops, students can turn, move and manipulate models of body parts for enhanced learning and better student outcomes. The zSpace Lab is located in Room 232 of the renovated Technology Building on the college’s Cumberland campus.
