Q. Why did you choose Forestry as your major?
A. I was in a Tech Center program in high school, and I enjoy being outside. I love nature!
Q. What made you choose ACM?
A. It has a highly ranked Forestry program, a 99% job placement rate after graduating, and the credits readily transfer.
Q. How would you describe your experience at ACM so far?
A. It has been good, I’ve learned so much. I really enjoy helping students in the mentoring program, and I love the student to teacher ratio. I can really connect with my professors, we know each other on a first name basis.
Q. Would you recommend ACM to others, and why?
A. Yes, I would. The primary reasons would be the high job placement rates and the great relationship with professors. Also, you get a lot of real-life experience at ACM; there are many labs and hands-on activities, it’s not all sitting in lectures.
Q. What three words best describe you?
A. Happy, positive, and caring.
Q. How would your peers describe you?
Q. What motivates you, and why?
A. My girlfriend and my family. I want to be able to provide for my family and have a successful future. Plus, I’m a big dreamer.
Q. What are some of your hobbies or interests outside of college?
A. Gardening, hunting, and hotrods/muscle cars. I’m currently building a truck.
Q. Are you working while attending college?
A. I’m a work-study student in the Science Building.
Q. Now that you’ve been through the college process, what advice would you give your younger self?
A. Definitely time-management. Learn to create a schedule and follow it.
Q. What are your post-college plans?
A. I want to become a natural resources police officer, and own a farm near Buffalo, NY.
