Online tutoring is another resource available for all ACM credit students, including those students enrolled in online courses. The Student Success Center has collaborated with Thinking Storm to create an online tutoring service designed for ACM students' needs. Students can go to https://www.thinkingstorm.com/acm for assistance for the following courses: mathematics, anatomy and physiology, biology, chemistry, physics, writing (essays for any course), accounting, economics, design software, and nursing. Tutoring is available seven days a week from 10 a.m. - 4 a.m. the next day. Most subjects are available on demand; however, appointments are required for anatomy & physiology, accounting, economics, nursing, and computer design software.
Access to Thinking Storm begins on the first day of each semester. If students register late, they will have access the next Friday after the registration date. To log in to the service, students enter their username which is their legal first name (no nicknames!) and last name followed by birthdate (MMDDYY) for example JohnDoe010588. The password is always acmonlinetutor. For technical support, contact the Thinking Storm Help Desk at (877) 889-5996 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Do not contact the ACM Help Desk.
