We are offering several courses that use various technologies to deliver instruction to students.  Our courses are structured to give students the opportunity to schedule learning activities at times more convenient to their individual schedules.  These courses may use DVD, computers, the Internet and other media.  Some can be taken at your home, while others require using the media on campus.  Allegany College offers several courses that are linked to distance learning classroom sites throughout our tri-state regional community.  All courses are managed by a faculty member who provides a syllabus, holds review and study sessions, and serves as a learning resource in the course.  All costs and credits earned are the same as for comparable on-campus courses and students have access to the same services, activities and peer support, as do on-campus students!

Listed in our Schedule of Credit Classes are courses being taught Online (Web) or on one of our Interactive Video systems.  Please read on for more information about each of these kinds of course delivery methods.  Is learning at a distance right for you?  Try our self-scoring assessment to find out.
