College Offers Multiple Course Delivery Methods
CUMBERLAND, Md. (Jan. 6, 2021) – With less than two weeks before the start of full-term courses, Allegany College of Maryland invites new and current students to register for the spring 2021 semester. The college’s message for students is simple: Use this semester to invest in you.
“Explore your interests. Return to finish that degree. Take transfer credits. Move one step closer to graduation. Find your independence. We’re here to help you succeed and celebrate you along the way,” explained Jennifer Engelbach, executive director of ACM’s Enrollment and Advising Services.
Full-term courses for spring begin on Thursday, January 21, 2021. Delayed start courses begin on Thursday, February 11, and all courses will end on Friday, May 7, 2021. The college eliminated its March spring break. ACM will offer instruction in multiple in-person, hybrid and online formats, including F2F or face-to-face-instruction, F2FA or face-to-face alternating schedule instruction, online, blended or hybrid, flex, and distance learning or telecourses. Students may preview available courses online. Financial aid and payment plans for tuition and fees are available. New students must meet with an academic advisor prior to registration, and they’re encouraged to attend a student orientation session prior to the start of the semester. All offices and buildings are open with in-person services available (appointments recommended). Virtual appointments are encouraged as many faculty and staff are working remotely.
Students are also encouraged to download Navigate, a free mobile app that empowers students to explore and choose their right major, manage their path to graduation, and stay on top of important dates and deadlines. More information is available at allegany.edu/navigate.
