GILPIN FRESHMAN SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO 21 FIRST-TIME STUDENTS
CUMBERLAND, Md. (Sept. 27, 2021) – The Allegany College of Maryland Foundation announces that the following first-time college students have received scholarships to attend Allegany College of Maryland: Kaylee Beattie-Thornburg, Cumberland; Tristen Brehm, Mount Savage; Austin Burt, Cumberland; Sophie Cramer, LaVale; Lacey Crossland, Rawlings; Mattesyn Crotts, Cumberland; Summer Dye, Cumberland; Carl Eckard, Flintstone; Emily Evans, Cresaptown; Cassidy Galliher, Cumberland; Rebekah George, LaVale; Daniel Highland, Cumberland; Gwendolyn Lent, Frostburg; Ashlyn Lepley, Cumberland; Ashley Michaels, Frostburg; Ryan Mulligan, Cumberland; Benjamin Starr, Cumberland; Chloe Watkins, Cumberland; Hayley Weigand, Frostburg; Juliet Wilson, Cumberland; and Lexis Zalewski, LaVale.
Gilpin Freshman Scholarships are given to graduates of high schools located in Allegany County who have demonstrated exemplary scholastic potential by earning at least a 3.5 GPA at the end of their junior or senior years of high school. Gilpin Freshman awards are restricted to first-time college students who have selected to begin their studies full time at ACM within two years of their high school graduation.
The ACM Foundation provides more than $1 million in scholarships each year to help students achieve their academic goals. The Foundation will accept online scholarship applications for 2022-2023 academic year beginning November 1, 2021.
