Comedian Rex Havens, who has appeared on Showtime, Comedy Central, Comic Relief and The Bob & Tom Show, will headline the Bedford County Regional Education Foundation’s 2020 Fundraiser, The Great Debate: His Tastes, Her Tastes, on Mar. 28 at the Bedford Elks Country Club.

EVERETT, Pa. (Feb. 24, 2019) – Join the Bedford County Regional Education Foundation (BCREF) for The Great Debate: His Tastes, Her Tastes from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28 at the Bedford Elks Country Club. Comedian Rex Havens will present his original take on the differences between the sexes as part of his “Everything I Needed to Know I Learned from My Wife” stand-up entertainment. The event, which also features dinner and a silent auction, will raise funds to support student scholarships at the Allegany College of Maryland Bedford County Campus.

Tickets are $35 per person and must be purchased in advance by calling 814-562-9528 ext. 6223 or visiting the ACM Bedford County Campus in Everett. A cash bar will be available. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and dinner provided by Catered Affairs will be served at 6:00 p.m. The Bedford Elks Country Club is located at 937 S. Richard Street in Bedford.

Havens has entertained and educated audiences around the world (50 states, 15 countries and counting) with his insightful observations about the hilarious miscommunications that populate our personal lives. Havens has appeared at The Improv, Catch-A-Rising Star, Funny Bones and Zanies as well as on television for Showtime, Comedy Central and Comic Relief, on radio with The Bob & Tom Show and NPR and on cruise ships worldwide. A former college professor who made the unusual transition to stand-up comedy in the 1980s, he has opened for Jerry Seinfeld and Jeff Foxworthy.
