ACM Bedford County Campus To Host August 18 Orientation Sessions

ALLEGANY COLLEGE OF MARYLAND BEDFORD COUNTY CAMPUS TO HOST AUGUST 18 NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION SESSIONS 

CUMBERLAND, Md. (July 30, 2020) – Allegany College of Maryland’s Bedford County Campus (ACM BCC) will host multiple New Student Orientation sessions on Tuesday, August 18. The sessions, which are limited to 25 participants per session, are scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 3 p.m., and 4 to 6 p.m. Registration is required; prospective students are asked to bring only one guest. 

New Student Orientation will feature mini-sessions designed to simplify the college experience and introduce new students enrolling in the fall semester to available services. Mini-session topics include: student services, financial aid, scholarships, computer services, college survival skills and library services. Particular attention will be paid to introducing students to the many programs within student services, including: career development, crisis counseling, disability services, support systems, the testing lab and tutoring. Students may also have their Student ID photograph taken. 

Prospective students may preregister online or contact ACM BCC by calling 814-652-9528, ext. 6200 or emailing BCCstudentservices@allegany.edu. Attendees are required to wear face masks or face coverings and practice social distancing measures. 

The ACM Bedford County Campus, located at 18 North River Lane in Everett, will offer more than 40 day and evening courses during the fall ’20 semester. Fall registration remains open with classes beginning on Monday, August 24. Students may preview the fall semester schedule.
