Simple Application Process

1. Complete the ADMISSIONS APPLICATION.
You may submit a paper application or you may click here to submit your application through the internet.
THERE IS NO APPLICATION FEE.

2. Please provide us with your FINAL OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT or GED.
Please have your high school mail us your FINAL, OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT.

If you did not graduate from high school, then we would need a copy of your GED or EXTERNAL HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA.

3. If you have ATTENDED COLLEGE and you wish to be a full-time, degree-seeking student at ACM, we will need OFFICIAL copies of your TRANSCRIPT(S) from EACH COLLEGE or UNIVERSITY that you attended.

4. Take our PLACEMENT TEST.

In CUMBERLAND	Fall and Spring Semester Placement Assessment Start Times:
	Mondays - 9:00 a.m. through 3:00 p.m.
	Tuesdays through Fridays - 9:00 a.m. through 12 Noon

	Summer Start Times:
	Mondays through Fridays - 9:00 a.m. through 12 Noon
	Please contact our Student Success Center at 301-784-5554 to schedule your test.

In BEDFORD -	The test is given Monday - Friday at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. by appointment. Please contact Tina Imes at 814-652-9528 x6224 to schedule your test.

In SOMERSET -	Please contact Darcy Gagnon at 814-445-9848 x6135 to schedule your test.

The placement test for English may be waived if:
     - you have recently taken the SAT and scored 550 or higher in writing, OR
     - you have recently taken the ACT and scored 21 or higher in English, OR
     - you have completed three (3) college level credits of English.

The placement test for math may be waived if:
     - you have recently taken the SAT and scored 550 or higher in math, OR
     - you have recently taken the ACT and scored 21 or higher in math, OR
     - you have completed three (3) college level algebra credits of math.

The placement test for reading may be waived if:
     - you have recently taken the SAT and scored 550 or higher in reading, OR
     - you have recently taken the ACT and scored 21 or higher in reading, OR
     - you have completed twelve (12) credits of general education transfer courses.

You will need to provide an official copy of your SAT/ACT scores and college transcripts to the Admissions Office (in the College Center) BEFORE you can register for classes.

5. Mail your transcripts to our Admissions Office at the main campus in Cumberland.

You may expect to receive an acceptance letter within two to three weeks of submitting your application.

Once you have been accepted to our College, we will make sure that you have an academic advisor, someone who is able to answer your questions about the program of your choice and someone who is available and willing to help you reach your goals. We also provide academic advising in the Admissions Office throughout the year.

When you are ready to register for classes, you may be sure that our help is available to you and contrary to popular belief, this is a quick and painless process. If you choose to register early and know the classes you wish to take, you should be able to secure the kind of schedule you desire and complete the process in less than fifteen minutes. However, be assured, if you need to contemplate your choice of classes, we are here to see that your needs are met."
