Letter from the Vice-President
Welcome to Continuing Education & Workforce Development
Please make us part of your 2014!
The new year may have already begun, but it is never too late to tackle those resolutions, and we are more than happy to help you with yours! Whether you have committed to learn a new skill, take up a new hobby, or upgrade jobs, ACM is the place to get you started and on your way. As always we offer a wide variety of options, including many returning courses, along with several new ones. This winter/spring catalog has classes starting weekly now through late spring. Don't put off registering because of the weather. It may be cold outside right now, but our classrooms are nice and warm! You can also learn from the comfort of your home with our online offerings.
This catalog includes many first time offerings identified as "NEW". Be sure to see the new partnership for environmental experiences at Evergreen Heritage Center in Mount Savage coming in late spring. Sign up for one of our new digital photography courses, or get trained in a Microsoft certification. Get some friends together for one of our bus trips or new culinary offerings. You ask and we listen! We have added more Zumba and history courses. We have also once again designated some courses as "GUARANTEED", which allows them to run with no minimum enrollment required.
Whether you need to improve or refresh your workforce skills or those of your employees, our lineup includes licensure and certification options in many professional and occupational areas including health professionals, management and leadership, CPR, child care, welding, insurance, appraisal and real estate. Please be sure to contact us if you need customized contract training to meet a specific workforce need. Please remember to check us out on our website at www.allegany.edu for courses that are always being added to our offerings.
We would like to take this time to thank all our students, both returning and those coming to us for the first time, and wish you all a wonderful new year!
