Letter from the Dean

Jeff T. Kirk

2015 is here at ACM! Will you be?

Now that the holidays are over, it's time to give yourself a gift. Our winter/spring catalog has just the present you deserve! Find the course or courses that can help you get through the long winter days, or look forward to spring with one of our later offerings. We can provide you personal enrichment or professional achievement.

Once again we are bringing back our ever popular courses, while adding several new opportunities for you to learn or simply do something you enjoy.Whether it be fitness or computers there is something for everyone. We can teach you how to cook, paint and administer CPR. From your iPad to your iPhone, we have the training people are looking for today. So talk to your friends and family and have them recommend a course they have taken. Or bring them with you and sign up for a class together.

As you plan out the months ahead, be sure to come see Annie Jr. at the end of February, and mark your calendar for our spring craft show early in May. As always, we are continuously adding new things. Check our website at for additions to the schedule throughout the year. If you are looking for a course or have an idea for one, please let us know!

If you need to enhance your workforce skills or update a license or certification, we are your training provider. We cover a wide range of professions, from healthcare and real estate, to welding and machining. Employers, inquire about customized training developed specifically for your employee needs. Many area agencies are already taking advantage of the services we provide.

Let us show you our appreciation for your support and help you keep those New Year's resolutions. Just because the days are cold and short, doesn't mean you can't be learning and growing. Allegany College of Maryland offers a warm comfortable environment for your educational experience. So go ahead and register. Someday is now, don't put it off.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!
