Let us help you find those missing pieces!

Lifelong learning can seem like one big puzzle. One that is completed a piece at a time, each one adding something to the big picture. Allegany College of Maryland Center for Continuing Education & Workforce Development is here to help you put them all together. We hope this fall 2015 catalog has the pieces that fit!

Inside you will find several new course offerings. These include a new series for homeschool students, history courses, Apple Computer Basics, Open Office, Managing Workplace Conflict and many others. Often these are in response to your requests. We continue to make it our priority to produce timely and enjoyable courses that meet the needs of area residents and businesses alike. In addition, we have also lowered prices on many of our personal enrichment courses for both seniors and non-seniors. Look for those labeled with "New Course Cost."

Our ongoing partnerships with external companies and educational providers, allow us to expand opportunities for you. One example is Ed2Go online courses. Visit their website to view the hundreds of courses available in addition to those listed in the catalog. Another partner, Collette Vacations, a leading education-based travel company, brings the world one step closer.

As we respond to a growing national trend, ACM has launched an IT Workforce Training Initiative, through the newly formed Western Maryland IT Center of Excellence. Funded in part by a grant through the State of Maryland, this initiative is an industry led collaboration of area IT leaders.

In our effort to remain as the area's leading institution of lifelong learning, ACM continues to offer quality and affordable courses. Look to us as your choice for healthcare & CPR, licensure and certification, workforce skills, career development, computer technology and personal enrichment & wellness.

As always, we thank you for returning to us and allowing us be a part of your educational experience, and ask you to encourage others to get acquainted with what we have to offer. Remember to visit our website at for additional information. So whether you just started, or are connecting the final pieces, find out how the Center for Continuing Education & Workforce Development can help you complete the puzzle!
