Letter from the Vice-President

Jeff T. Kirk

Back to school at ACM could include you this year! Don't just send your kids this fall, send yourself!

Here at Continuing Education & Workforce Development, anyone can be a student. It doesn't matter if you are looking to start a career, wanting to learn a new skill, or just do something for fun, our catalog has something for everyone!

As always we have included many of our popular repeat courses along with several first time offerings. Veterinary Assistant Training is back for fall. Also returning is the Cinematic Experience Series which will feature Some Like it Hot, The Birds and The Wizard of Oz. Those making their premiere in our catalog include iPad Apps Crash Course, iPhone Basics, Photography Master Classes for Wildlife and Fall Foliage, Mediation Skills classes and the Star Spangled Festival trip.

Make sure to check out the Spooktacular Fall Craft Show being held in the Gymnasium on October 21st in conjunction with this year's Allegany County Chamber of Commerce Spooktacular Expo 2014.

Like the changes to our fall course lineup, we have also made some staffing changes. Kathy Condor has been appointed the Director of Health and Human Services and Kathy Diehl now serves as the Coordinator of Professional Development. Both have hit the ground running to produce new opportunities for our customers.

Please be sure to tell your friends and family about what we have to offer. Many people enjoy bringing someone with them to share their learning experience.

And don't forget the website at www.allegany.edu to stay connected. We would like to take this time to thank all those who continue to support our programs and those who are coming for the first time.

It is you who help make Continuing Education what it is today.
