To provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become radiologic technologists for successful entry in a diverse and global society into the practice of radiology.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:

1. Perform routine exams
2. Assess routine patient vital signs
3. Practice proper radiation safety
4. Communicate with other members of the health care team
5. Communicate effectively in writing
6. Properly educate patients about exams
7. Identify and perform non-routine exams
8. Identify diagnostic images and correct non-quality images accordingly
9. Initiate the appropriate treatment in relation to emergency cases
10. Provide professional care to all patients
11. Respond appropriately to ethical dilemmas
12. Demonstrate the values and ethics of a radiographer
13. Will successfully complete the national registry and become registered radiologic technologist
14. Evaluate the program positively
15. Obtain employment within 6 months of graduation from the program
