RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY MISSION STATEMENT
To provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to become radiologic technologists for successful entry in a diverse and global society into the practice of radiology.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to:
- Perform routine exams
- Assess routine patient vital signs
- Practice proper radiation safety
- Communicate with other members of the health care team
- Communicate effectively in writing
- Properly educate patients about exams
- Identify and perform non-routine exams
- Identify diagnostic images and correct non-quality images accordingly
- Initiate the appropriate treatment in relation to emergency cases
- Provide professional care to all patients
- Respond appropriately to ethical dilemmas
- Demonstrate the values and ethics of a radiographer
- Will successfully complete the national registry and become registered radiologic technologist
- Evaluate the program positively
- Obtain employment within 6 months of graduation from the program
