Personality and Career Inventories
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Kuder Journey, and the Strong Interest Inventory (Strong) are excellent assessments that help students discover more about themselves and why they are drawn to different careers. This kind of insight is an important step in career development.
To schedule an appointment to take an assessment at any one of our three campuses of Allegany College of Maryland, please contact your local career advisor.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a tool designed to explore your personality preferences. Speaking with a career advisor can help you apply your results to your career interests.

Users select from several profiles including postsecondary student, first-time job seeker, career changer, veteran or active member of the military, adult with a disability, ex-offender, or retired person.
The Strong Interest Inventory is a tool designed to assist you in clarifying work-related interest. This assessment requires interpretation by a career advisor.
