Anger Management for Adolescents and Young Adults (HSP555)

This training specifically designed for human service professionals will examine one of our most pressing issues; anger and violent youth. This training will examine and demonstrate various group therapy and related approaches to assisting young adults. This highly experiential program will assist participants in identifying some of the causes of anger and health risks associated with hostility. Interventions based on cognitive and behavioral techniques are described and demonstrated. Methods for helping children and adolescents distract themselves in order to gain time before acting are shared and discussed. This program is filled with practical tips and techniques for assisting adolescents in managing their anger.
