Word 2010 (EDP940)

Knowing how to best utilize the many functions of Word 2010 is a fundamental skill for computer users. In this class, you will start from the basics and learn how to use Word for a variety of environments. Topics include best practices for formatting text, spelling and grammar checker, and discussion of effective tasks in Word that you may not be using. You will also learn how to how to insert pictures into a document, how to emphasize paragraphs by drawing borders around them, and much more. Gain the knowledge you need from an instructor that holds a Master Certification in MS Office 2010 to create Word documents that will save you time and impress your peers! Should you choose to further advance your skills in Word, you can enroll in EDP633, Microsoft Word 2010 Specialist Certification, which will prepare you to take the Microsoft Word Specialist national certification exam. Please note: While this course is for a beginner Word user, you must have a basic computer background to enroll in this course.

This series of computer courses for seniors are conveniently offered during the day at the request of many of our senior students. All Maryland residents over the age of 60 are eligible for the Maryland senior course cost as noted. However, anyone is eligible to enroll in these courses and pay the full course cost.
