Tea Time (C/S924)Tea is grown in over 24 countries including the United States, so come and learn its tasty history as well as comparing and tasting teas from around the world. In this class, students will learn the traditional method, with cupping sets, as used by master tea growers and traders around the world. Tea tastings help you define your palate much the same as wine tastings do. Join us for this unique, interesting and even elegant course held every Monday inside the Tea Cupboard, the charming downtown Cumberland tea shoppe. Students will not only learn about the history of tea, but there will also be lessons on how to properly prepare tea, how to drink it, how to set the proper tea table, what to add and what to eat with it. The sessions will be held on Mondays from 12:30-2 p.m. beginning October 7 and running four weeks until October 28. The cost of each session is just $25 and includes a hands-on lesson in tea, a delicious lunch and a generous sampling of teas and desserts provided by the Tea Cupboard.
