Part III: The Lean Bronze Certification Exam (PRO927)Jeff Fuchs will administer the Lean Bronze Certification Exam at Allegany College of Maryland on May 16, 2014. The open-book, 170 question exam takes 3 hours. All exam questions are taken from the four books covered in the facilitated book study.
When you pass the exam, you will receive a certificate (not a certification) that serves as a base for pursuit of the Lean Bronze Certification. It is valid for three years and is not renewable. During the three year period, you must submit a portfolio and have it accepted by SME. It must document at least 80 hours of Lean education/training, five tactical projects, events, or activities to which specific lean principles and tools were applied*, and Portfolio reflection: results of the events, projects and/or activities.
*Projects should demonstrate continuing practice in lean. For example, if you are applying for certification in 2014, and you started your lean practice in 2009, you may choose to include projects from 2009, 2011, and 2014 in your portfolio to demonstrate that you are still practicing lean.
