Part I: Lean Bronze Certification Facilitated Book Study (PRO924)We are starting with a Facilitated Book Study for the 4 texts that make up the Lean Bronze Body of Knowledge. Books are not included in the course cost but students must possess the texts for the book study and for the review and exam. Lean Bronze Certification exam questions are based on the following core reference materials:
· Gemba Kaizen, Masaaki Imai
· Lean Production Simplified, Pascal Dennis
· Lean Thinking, James P. Womack and Daniel T. Jones
· Learning to See: Value Stream Mapping to Create Value and Eliminate Muda, Mike Rother and John Shook

Beginning on January 15th, the facilitated book group will meet at the college on select Wednesdays from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. The book study group will cover one of the four books each month beginning with Lean Production Simplified on January 15th and 29th. Learning to See will be covered on February 12th and 26th . Gemba Kaizan discussions will be held March 12th and 26th, and Lean Thinking on April 16th and 30th.
Experienced lean practitioners will guide the discussions and focus on each book's contributions to the Lean Certification Body of Knowledge.
Students who are unable to come to Cumberland for the book group but are registered to attend the ACM Review, are invited to enroll in the online book study.
