Fundamentals of GD&T: Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (PRO967)Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) is an essential tool for communicating design intent, ensuring that parts made from technical drawings have the desired form, fit, function and interchangeability. By providing uniformity in drawing specifications and interpretation, GD&T takes the guesswork out of the manufacturing process which improves quality, lowers costs and shortens delivery times. This 40-hour course, using the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards addresses the following topics: Position Tolerance Verification, Limits of Size, Datum reference Frame - Theory, Datum Modifiers, form, Orientation, Profile, and Position tolerances, coaxial and non-cylindrical Controls, Fastener Formulas, and IB and OB Stack-Up Calculations.
