Interested in beginning your college studies at ACM then transferring to an already selected four-year college/university in the future? Cannot find your exact major on ACM's program of study list? If you answered yes to these questions then the University Studies Program is the right program path for you. ACM's University Studies program offers you the unique opportunity to complete the first two years of your bachelor's degree at a fraction of the cost of your intended institution.
Imagine being able to complete an Associate of Science degree without taking courses not required by your intended four-year institution. Think of all the time and money you'll save by taking only those courses you really need.
Our University Studies program provides you with the best possible parallel coursework to the courses required by your future four-year college or university -- without the loss of transfer credit.
As soon as you have identified your intended major and target four-year college/university, you'll setup a meeting with a transfer advisor from our Student Success Center. During your appointment, your advisor will help you create a customized study plan that best fits your four-year transfer institution’s requirements. Next, your transfer advisor prepares a formal study plan and mails it to the transfer institution for its approval and signatures. Once approved, you'll enroll in only those classes you need to take for transfer.
As a University Studies Program student, you must also meet graduation standards for an associate degree as established by the State of Maryland.
Your courses in our University Studies Program will vary depending on your chosen career path. But thanks to your customized plan of study, you'll know exactly which courses you'll need to take for transfer. Think of it as your two-year plan of action.
