This interactive workshop is designed for coaches who are determined to help athletes make the journey from sports "participant" to become a "Triple-Impact Competitor." It includes more than a dozen specific exercises for coaches to help student-athletes improve themselves, their teammates, and the game. The course borrows from the Olympic motto: Citius, Altius, Fortius (Faster, Higher, Stronger) to help athletes strive together to excel. It introduces the PCA principles of Honoring the Game, Redefining Winner and Filling the Emotional Tank, with complimenting tools and resources for coaches to improve their student-athletes on and off the field.
Overuse Injury Prevention and Traumatic Injury Evaluation and Treatment presented by Bucky Whiteman, MBA, PT.
In this updated version of his well-received presentation, Bucky will help coaches keep their players on the field and know when to keep them off. He will share training techniques to help your players avoid common injuries. Coaches will also receive guidelines to assist them in determining when a player needs to stay off the field and to assess when they are ready to return to play. Coaches will also learn what steps to follow in the event of a traumatic injury. As a physical therapist, coach, trainer and parent, Bucky has decades of experience that will benefit coaches of all sports and all ages.
