The Queens of England (C/S194)

This new class with the most scholarly scribe Ellen McDaniel-Weissler at the helm, is an interesting overview of the Queens Regnant of England, including Mary I (Bloody Mary) Elizabeth I, Mary II (of William and Mary) Anne I, Victoria and Elizabeth II. The class will discuss what special challenges each queen faced, both because of their gender and because of their political situations, the expectations of their subjects, how they dealt with the twin pressures of rulership and motherhood, and their impact on the country of Great Britain. It's a course sure to delight to fancy of Anglophiles everywhere!
