Knitting, Intermediate II - Working with Lace (C/S008)
Lace can be knitted into so many projects, scarves, sweaters, hats. Beautiful, romantic, ethereal lace. But it can also be intimidating. Those charts, and all those yarn overs and decreases! How do you keep it all straight? We’ll start with a scarf or shawl pattern (your choice) and talk about following a chart, correcting mistakes and blocking your finished piece to show off your handiwork to its best effect.
Supply List: You will need about 100 grams (or about 400 yards) of fingering weight yarn (sometimes called sock yarn) for the scarf or 200 grams (800 yards) for the shawl and a size 6 circular needle. Bring your sense of adventure and let’s make some beautiful lace! Patterns will be provided by the instructor. Register early; class size limited to 15 students.
