Get Your Clog On: Beginner (C/S188)

Are you bored with your current exercise routine? Would you like to do something new, challenging, healthy, and never boring? Would you enjoy exercising in a fun social atmosphere? Then clogging may be the class for you! Clogging is a fun and energetic folk dance. Cloggers musically use their footwear by striking the heel, the toe, or both against the floor. Clogging is similar to tap dancing, but cloggers perform with up-and-down body motions and also perform in groups doing the same steps. Students in this beginner friendly course will learn the basic steps of a generations old dance that has enjoyed a popular resurgence. Experience and clogging shoes are not necessary. The class is open to men and women of all ages. This is NOT a competition class. Leave class and do your own version of Potomac Riverdance! Don’t panic! The class will be held discreetly behind the curtain! About the Instructor: Audrayana Ashley has been a dancer since she was three years old and a clogger since she was nine years old. She is a past member of the Will’s Mt. Cloggers and has been to several competitions around the United States. Her performance has even been on the MTV show Made in 2008, in Harrisburg, PA. Audrayana has performed with the cloggers at Disney World and has competed nationally in Nashville, Cleveland and Pittsburgh. She is not only familiar with clogging, but she has also taken hip-hop, ballet, tap, jazz, and gymnastics. Her passion for clogging has won her a multiple wards and she is anxious to share her love for clogging with you!
