Smart Start Your Business (B/I664)

This course introduces you to the many issues you will face in preparing to establish and operate your own business. You will learn about the opportunities available to you as well as the pitfalls to avoid. Specific topics covered in the seminar include: how to begin writing your business plan; creating your professional advisor team; legal, accounting, and insurance issues; and resources available to small business in the Western Region. This course is offered in partnership with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Allegany College of Maryland. The SBDC assists entrepreneurs with all of their business needs. Both the SBDC and ACM offer training in business and technology to support the growth of businesses at all stages of development.
