Construction Trades Core Skills (PRO760)
If you are interested in working in the construction industry, you must acquire these basic skills. Explore basic construction safety, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), OSHA regulations and the causes of accidents. Receive OSHA 10 and Red Cross CPR & First Aid instruction. Successful completers of this program will receive an OSHA 10 and Red Cross CPR & First Aid card - a major asset to anyone working in the construction industry. Discover the use of basic math and how to read blueprints. Experience hands-on instruction on the proper and safe use of hand and power tools. Review the importance of customer service to work with customers both inside and outside of the company. Whether your goal is to be a carpenter, HVAC technician, electrician, plumber, job supervisor or contractor, there are certain skills that are common to all of the trades. In this course you will explore those skills. Course cost includes textbook fee.9/4-11/8, Tues. & Thurs. (20 Sessions)
