BLS CPR Instructor Course (CHE 541)
This course provides Instructor Candidates with the knowledge and skills necessary to teach CPR courses for healthcare providers and lay rescuers. After completing CHE 541, the Instructor Candidate will be prepared to teach a BLS certification or renewal course or a Heartsaver CPR course at his/her affiliated training location during which he/she will be monitored by an ACM Training Center Faculty member. After successful instruction of a monitored course, an Instructor Candidate will receive a BLS Instructor card which is valid for two years.Audience: Physicians, nurses, paramedics, Emergency Medical Technicians, respiratory, physical & occupational therapists, physician assistants, residents, medical/nursing students, aides, and other allied health personnel who have completed the BLS Healthcare Providers course and wish to teach CPR courses.
Prerequisites: Interested candidates for the BLS Instructor Course will need to have a current Healthcare Provider card and have successfully completed the CHE 540 Instructor’s Core Training. Call Jim Nichols at 301-784-5503 for course dates, times, and details.
