Culture Coach Holiday Tour II (PRO840)
We had such a great time on the first Culture Coach Holiday Tour that we decided to do it all again! This year’s tour will again begin with a delicious champagne brunch at Town Hill B&B in Orleans. If you haven’t tried Alabama Tomato Pie or Upside Down Caramel Apple French Toast, you should taste what you’ve been missing! You can tour the Inn and check out the awesome views and gift shop too. From Town Hill we will proceed to Rocky Gap Furniture and Gifts where you’re sure to find something special to get your home ready for the holidays.
The next stop will be the Gilchrist Gallery’s “Art for Giving” sale. The entire gallery is filled with local artwork – all available for sale as wonderful holiday gifts. Next stop, the Buttercup Boutique – the shop that ate a furniture store! Miche Bags, One-sole shoes, Switchflops, crystal jewelry and assorted bling to jazz up your holiday wardrobe or round out your gift list, are all available at the Boutique. Truly a treasure trove of accessories for the holiday or any day! Just across the street, Cumberland’s own Scents-N-Things will also be open to tempt your senses. High-end fragrances and candles are available at a fraction of the department store cost.
We will continue west to Frostburg’s Storybook Holiday. We’ll take an hour to check out City Place which will be bustling with craft vendors and holiday cheer – and walk over to Main Street to see the festive decorations and retailers before we head to our final stop, Spruce Forest Artisan Village at Penn Alps.
We’ll be arriving at Spruce Forest just in time to enjoy the final hours of their annual “Christmas in the Village” celebration. See the Village lit by over 400 candle luminaries, visit the fire-warmed studios to meet the artists and purchase holiday gifts, hear stories in the Miller House, help the children decorate cookies in the Compton One-Room School. Visit the House of Yoder to witness an “Amish Christmas” and join carolers strolling the pathways through the traditional greenery and garlands. Visit the Village Church for live music. You are also invited to enjoy an on-your-own dinner at historic Penn Alps Restaurant before we make the return trip to the college.
