Cumberland became the second largest city in Maryland in the late 1800s and became known as the "Queen City". It is the "Victorian Treasure" of Maryland with street blocks of incredible architecture including the downtown.
Join us as we PUT ON THE GLITZ and enjoy fine dining and musical entertainment in three impressive museum sites.
- Allegany Museum - the tour begins with appetizers served and musical entertainment in the Grand Ballroom of the museum. Guided tours showcasing the history of Allegany County will be provided.
- C. William Gilchrist Gallery - the main course of this dining experience will feature chicken breast with roasted pears, walnuts, gorgonzola cheese with port wine sauce, multigrain rice with currants and sunflower seeds, and seasonal roast vegetables served in this 1840s historic house turned art gallery. Elegant home fixtures and beautiful artwork create the perfect atmosphere for fine dining. The exquisite main course and musical entertainment will make a memorable experience.
- Gordon-Roberts House Museum - finish the day with an array of delectable desserts in this 1867 house museum. Costumed docents will provide a fun-filled tour of the life of the family and servants who once occupied the home.
