Stained Glass, Advanced: POINTS and OVERLAYS- Studio Experience (C/S176)
For participants with experience in the basics of Stained Glass construction, join us on a fall day traveling through rural West Virginia to the studio of Elizabeth Braun in Slanesville, WV. Upon arrival to the new spacious studio, students will learn to make their stained glass look realistic and organic without risking structural integrity of the panel or using any paint. "Pointing off" or "Line extensions" are a great way to take your projects to the next level. Add amazing detail with overlays! Design considerations, glass selection, and cutting and soldering issues, how to attach lead or copper overlays will also be covered. Each student will create several sample sized panels to take home as a reference of techniques. Transportation is provided to and from the studio. We will depart from behind the Center for Continuing Education building at 9:00 AM and arrive back to ACM at 3:30 PM. Lunch will be provided.
